Do Your DIY Projects Need a Folding Workbench?
Keep a bench and clamps that already suit your work. Consider a folding workbench when small DIY clamping and assembly jobs recur and the surface needs to pack away.
If a bench or support you already own provides a suitable surface for your small DIY jobs, and your clamps suit the pieces, keep using it. A folding workbench deserves consideration when clamping and assembly jobs recur but you cannot leave a dedicated work surface set up.
The example here is the WORX Pegasus WX051, selected as Portable Workbench & Sawhorse: one black and orange table. This is a buying decision about a work surface, not a reason to buy more power tools.
Start with the jobs you repeat
List the small repairs or assemblies you actually plan to do. What is missing from your present setup: a suitable surface, a way to hold the pieces, or a place to work without leaving a bench out? If your existing support and clamps already cover those needs, another table adds storage rather than solving a problem.
For recurring jobs without an adequate setup, compare a folding table with keeping a permanent bench. Decide where it would stand during use and where it would go afterward before choosing a model.
Check working space as well as storage
WORX lists a 31-by-25-inch tabletop and a fixed 32-inch working height for the WX051; the selected Amazon listing agrees on those dimensions. Compare them with your workpieces and preferred working height. Allow space around the table for you, the pieces and your clamps rather than treating the tabletop size as the whole workspace.
The table folds for storage. Measure your intended storage spot against the current product specifications, and consider the route between that spot and your work area. The folding photo alone cannot tell you whether it will fit.

Know what comes with the table
The selected package includes one table, two quick clamps and four clamp dogs. The supplied manual also confirms enclosed joiners for connecting units. Those joiners do not mean that a second table is included.

Match the clamping arrangement to your pieces
The tabletop has tracks for the clamps and holes for the clamp dogs. WORX lists an 18-inch maximum clamping width, but that number alone does not establish that a particular workpiece will fit. Check its shape and thickness, the required clamp positions and any additional support against the complete product instructions before buying.

The molded measuring guide, recesses and lower tray are visible features to consider. The guide is not an accuracy promise, and tools shown in the photos are props, not part of this package.

Keep the two configurations separate
The WX051 can serve as a worktable or sawhorse, but the manufacturer gives the configurations different limits. Do not apply a sawhorse rating to tabletop use or treat a two-table illustration as the capacity of this single package.
Use firm, level support and follow the complete supplied manual for the intended configuration and work. Never stand on the table. This guide does not replace the setup, clamping or safety instructions.
Buy only if it fills the gap
Keep an adequate owned bench or support and clamps. Consider the Pegasus only if your recurring work needs a folding surface and you have confirmed the working space, storage space and clamping fit. If those checks are unresolved, wait rather than buying on the strength of a photo.
Before ordering, confirm WX051 / Portable Workbench & Sawhorse / one black and orange table. Do not confuse it with the adjacent clamping-sawhorse pair or Sidekick work-table choices.

How we chose
This source-based guide uses the exact selected Amazon listing, WORX product information and the manufacturer’s manual. We have not tested the table. The five product images are unchanged listing originals or photo-based compositions, not our own test photos. Tools and workpieces shown are not included.
