Need to Reach Around a Craft Piece While Gluing?
Leave the cord at the base for brief decorative gluing, or connect it to the gun for longer work. The Surebonder CL-800F requires returns for reheating.
For brief spots of glue around a decorative craft piece, the Surebonder CL-800F lets you leave the power cord at its heated base. The tradeoff is returning the gun to the stand for reheating. For longer stretches of gluing, its cord connects directly to the handle, so the cord moves with your hand again.
Room to reach around the decoration
Picture adding decorative cord or trim around a wooden craft piece. A cord following the gun can cross the area you are trying to reach. Lifting this gun off its base removes that trailing lead for a short application; the base still needs a place beside the work and a suitable 120 V outlet.

This is a high-temperature tool for adult craft work. The photograph illustrates the reach, not a proven bond on every material. Check the adhesive and material instructions, especially for heat-sensitive surfaces. Hot-melt glue must not replace structural fasteners.
The return to the stand is part of the choice
The current Surebonder page and linked manual specify up to two minutes away from the heated stand, with a return to reheat after each application. That is an upper limit, not a promise of constant temperature or two useful minutes for every job. The gun uses retained heat away from the base; it does not run on a rechargeable battery.

If your decoration calls for short applications with natural pauses between them, that return fits the work. If you need to keep applying glue without those returns, plan around the direct-cord option instead. Do not choose the off-base mode expecting a long, uninterrupted pass.
For longer work, the cord follows the gun

The selected listing and maker describe connecting the AC cord directly to the gun for corded work. This removes the need to return to the base for heat, but brings back the cord route around your project. It is a different arrangement, not a guarantee of unlimited glue output.
Match the gun and the supplies
The linked selection is one Surebonder CL-800FW-N (CL-800F), Black/Green, 120 V, 60 W, listed as Cordless Hot Glue Gun. It is the full-size model, not a mini gun or a battery-powered tool.

The manual specifies 0.43-inch-diameter full-size glue sticks. The selected gun-only option does not establish that sticks are included. Choose compatible sticks separately; the decorative cord, wood and other craft materials in the project scene are also separate supplies.
Allow a dry indoor workspace with a suitable outlet: the manual prohibits extension cords. The nozzle and melted glue can burn. Keep children away, do not leave the plugged-in gun unattended, unplug when not in use, and let it cool before storage. Follow the complete supplied safety and operating instructions.
Choose this arrangement when a brief cord-free reach makes decorating easier and the stand remains close enough for returns. For longer gluing stretches, assess the direct-cord route before ordering.

Source note: an older Amazon bullet says up to three minutes off the stand. This guide uses the two-minute limit in the current Surebonder page, linked manual and listing A+ content. Based on those sources and supplier photos, not hands-on testing.
