OXO vs. Command Shower Caddy: Which No-Drill Mount Fits Your Bathroom?
Choose the OXO StrongHold Suction Large Basket if you have smooth glazed tile or glass and want to move the shelf without replacing adhesive strips. Choose the Command BATH11-ES if you have a compatible surface, know where the shelf will stay, and can allow its 24-hour installation wait. The useful difference is the mount, not which basket looks bigger.
Both give your daily shampoo, conditioner, and body wash a home off the tub edge without drilling. Neither is a universal fit for every rental bathroom.
Choose OXO when you want to adjust the position
The OXO Good Grips StrongHold Suction Large Basket, model 13206200, uses two lever-operated suction cups. They slide to help you avoid grout lines, and releasing the levers lets you reposition the basket. That makes it the more convenient choice when you are still deciding which height works for you and a roommate.

Its bottom has drainage openings and holes for storing suitable bottles upside down. You are buying one basket, not a corner shelf or a multi-tier organizer.
The main trade-off is surface fit. OXO recommends smooth glazed surfaces, mirrors, or glass, not textured or porous surfaces, including some stone, acrylic, or metal. A shiny-looking wall alone does not establish compatibility. Both cups need suitable landing areas; moving them away from a grout line cannot fix an unsuitable wall.

Choose Command when you have picked a settled spot
The clear-frosted Command BATH11-ES uses four mounting bases and four large water-resistant strips. Its US product page lists glass, mirror, tile, fiberglass, wood, and painted surfaces. That gives you a reason to consider it when suction is not the right match, rather than repeatedly trying to make suction work.

The caddy slides off its bases for cleaning, so cleaning the basket does not require removing the wall adhesive. The manufacturer rates this model for up to 6.5 pounds. We would use that as a ceiling, not a goal: keep the shelf for daily essentials instead of spare bottles.
Its trade-off is a slower setup and less convenient relocation. For this BATH11-ES, the instructions say to clean with the alcohol wipe, attach the bases as directed, remove the basket, and press each base for 30 seconds. Then use the shower once and wait 24 hours before sliding the basket back on. This is not an install-and-fill shelf.

Make these three checks before choosing
- Match the wall, not just the room. For smooth tile or glass and frequent repositioning, start with OXO. For a compatible fiberglass surround or a settled location, consider Command. Do not assume either works on textured stone, loose paint, or a damaged finish.
- Plan the exit. Command needs clearance above the basket to lift it off and below the bases for removal. Its instructions call for slowly stretching each strip straight down against the wall at least 15 inches, not pulling it toward you. Moving the mount requires suitable Command Bath Large refill strips.
- Check your actual bottles. Think about the full bottles you use, not just whether their bases fit. OXO’s current US product page does not give a numeric load limit; follow the instructions supplied with your exact basket. Lift out a pump bottle to use it rather than adding a downward push to either shelf.
If neither mount fits
If neither mounting method matches your wall, keep looking for storage that does not depend on that wall. No-drill describes the installation method; it is not a guarantee against surface damage. Follow the supplied instructions and any rental restrictions.
How we chose: We compared the manufacturers' product information, the BATH11-ES installation sheet, and the exact Amazon variants and images. We have not tested either basket. Amazon offers can change; check the selected model, quantity, and seller before buying.
