Cricut EasyPress Mini for Transfers Near Seams and Curves
Choose a small, hand-guided heat press for suitable transfers near seams or on curved blanks, with continuous movement and a separate timer.
A small heat-transfer design beside a seam calls for a different approach from a broad design on a flat shirt front. The Cricut EasyPress Mini gives an adult crafter a small, pointed plate to guide into that area. Choose it for access around the project’s shape, with the understanding that you keep the press moving and time the application separately.
Look at where the plate must go
Picture a prepared iron-on, or heat-transfer vinyl (HTV), design close to a raised seam. A broad plate may cover more of the surrounding garment than the area you want to reach. The Mini’s pointed tip is intended for working around seams, buttons and zippers.

That makes the shape of the pressing area the useful buying distinction. For a larger design on an open, flat panel, consider a larger press suited to covering that design. The Mini is a hand-guided option for small or awkward areas, rather than a large-area, one-press substitute.
A curve also needs suitable support
A curved blank changes how the plate meets the surface. The shoe example below shows why a small press can be useful, but the project must still have a compatible transfer, a heat-suitable blank and appropriate pressing support. A shoe’s shape alone does not establish that its materials can take heat.

Check Cricut’s material-specific Heat Guide and the transfer and blank instructions before choosing the project. The press supplies heat; the prepared design, blank and supporting materials remain separate requirements. It does not print or cut your design.
Your hand and a separate timer do the work
This original Mini has three settings: Low, Medium and High. One button controls power and setting selection. Those simple controls do not include a built-in application countdown or a numeric temperature display.

Cricut’s original-Mini guidance calls for continuous movement over the design and a separate timer. That is the main tradeoff for this small contact area: you actively guide the press instead of leaving a broad plate stationary for a timed application. Use the guidance for your exact materials, not a generic heat setting.

Treat it as a hot tool for adult craft work. Follow the supplied precautions, keep the tool and base material dry, and use the insulated resting base when the press is not being applied.
The linked selection is one Raspberry Cricut EasyPress Mini, model 2007468, listed at 120 V. Match that selection rather than substituting Mini LT, a newer Mini size or another region’s electrical version. Choose it when reaching a small transfer area matters more than covering a large flat design at once, and hands-on movement plus separate timing fits the work.
