Will Command Broom Grippers Work in Your Closet?

Choose the Command Large White Broom Grippers two-pack if you want a broom and mop off the floor without drilling, and both tools have 0.8–1-inch handles and weigh no more than 4 lb each. The catch is the wall: a rough, textured or splash-prone spot rules this option out.

This pack is model 17007-HW2ES, with two grippers and four adhesive strips. Brooms and mops are not included.

Check your tools before buying

Measure across the handle where the gripper will hold it, not across a padded grip or an enlarged end. The supported diameter is 0.8–1 inch. The 4 lb limit applies to each gripper, not to the pair together.

Also hold your broom and mop against the proposed wall. Check that their heads clear the floor and nearby shelves, and that a closing door will not hit them. Two separate grippers let you choose the spacing rather than accept a fixed rack layout.

If your existing storage keeps the tools upright and out of the way, you do not need this pack. If either tool exceeds the limits, choose another storage method rather than assume extra adhesive strips increase capacity.

Choose the wall carefully

Compatible examples include smooth painted walls, finished wood, laminate, glass, metal and tile. Do not use wallpaper, fabric, rough brick or textured walls. Keep the grippers at least one foot from a sink or water and outside splashing distance. Do not mount them over a bed.

Use them indoors at 50–105°F, and wait seven days after painting. If you cannot find a suitable dry location, this is not the right holder for that space.

Install once, leave room to remove later

Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol, not household cleaner. Remove the red liners and press the strips onto the gripper. Remove the black liners, press the gripper firmly against the wall for 30 seconds, then wait one hour before hanging a tool. Push the handle in to hold it; pull the handle out to release it.

To remove the gripper, hold it gently in place and slowly stretch each strip straight down against the wall. Never pull the strip outward toward you. Follow the supplied instructions; “removable” is not a guarantee that every wall finish will remain undamaged.

The grippers can be reused with new Command Large Refill Strips. Do not reuse the old adhesive strips.

Buy it for the fit, not the promise

This two-pack makes sense for two compatible cleaning tools and a suitable wall. Its main limitation is the narrow combination of handle size, tool weight and surface conditions. Check those first, then select the white two-gripper/four-strip pack on Amazon.
