Choose for the whole day, from the first fill to overnight drying. A folding bottle helps when the empty container gets in your way. Keep your current rigid bottle if it already fits the activities and bag you have planned.
Plan the two days before choosing a bottle
Mark reliable drinking-water refill points for each day's actual route. Choose your carrying capacity around that plan. Do not carry less water, or finish it early, merely to make the bottle smaller.
- A walk followed by an indoor visit: if the bottle will be empty and your later drinking-water needs are covered, a folding container can make room beside a jacket.
- Repeated outdoor stops and refills: the bottle may stay expanded all day. Easy access and a secure full-bottle fit may matter more than its packed-down size.
- An early start on day two: include time and a suitable place for cleaning and drying the previous evening. Check the next day's refill plan separately.

Try the filled shape in your real bag
Pack the jacket, lunch and other gear you expect to carry. Fill and close the bottle according to its instructions, then try your intended pocket or compartment.
- Can you put it away and retrieve it without forcing the pocket or squeezing the body?
- Does it remain supported when you lift the bag and walk?
- Over a sink, can you comfortably hold and drink from it when partly full?
- Can you support it under the kind of refill tap or dispenser you expect?
A flexible body can fit differently from a rigid cylinder. Do not infer the filled fit from an empty folded photograph. If your existing rigid bottle already works in your side pocket or vehicle cupholder, keeping it is a useful outcome.

When the Vapur 1L fits this plan
Consider the Vapur 1L Anti-Bottle in Blue Steel if its capacity suits your route and you expect to benefit from storing the bottle empty. The checked Amazon US variant is Blue Steel / 34 Ounces, ASIN B0BHN3YGP5. Vapur identifies a folding body, wide opening, flip-top cap and integrated carabiner.
Those features make it a relevant option for the full-to-empty routine; they do not establish how it will fit your pocket. The manufacturer lists dimensions of 5.5 × 1.5 × 11.5 inches. Treat these as a preliminary check, not a measurement of your filled bottle. Follow the supplied instructions for the cap and clip.
Keep an insulated bottle when temperature retention is a main requirement. Keep your familiar rigid bottle when its handling, cupholder fit or cleaning access matters more than empty-bottle space. We have not tested the Vapur's sealing, durability or drinking feel.

Leave it ready for the next outing
Check the bottle's care instructions before the trip. Vapur's FAQ describes washing with warm soapy water and leaving the empty body expanded and open to dry. Clean it when you arrive if that gives it more drying time than washing just before checkout.
Inspect it before the next fill and allow the interior to dry before closed storage. If it must travel damp between stops, reopen it for drying when you reach a suitable place. Keep the drinking opening away from dirty gear. A tightly folded bottle is a packing state, not a drying method.
Return to the two-day trip packing checklist and choose the bottle alongside the activities you actually plan. The water you need still needs carrying space.
