Does the BLACK+DECKER HHVI315JO42 Wall Mount Charge It?
The HHVI315JO42 hangs on a wall bracket but needs its charger plugged in by hand. Check the charging routine, included tools and dry-only limits.
No—the BLACK+DECKER HHVI315JO42 does not start charging just because you hang it on the wall bracket. You must insert the separate charger plug into the vacuum and leave its switch OFF. Choose it for cordless handheld pickup with wall storage, not for a drop-in charging dock.

Hanging it up and charging it are two separate steps
The manual shows the vacuum hanging on the bracket first, followed by the charger’s jack plug going into the charging socket. The bracket can route the cord, but it does not replace that plug-in step. Put it within reach of an outlet if you plan to charge it while hanging.
For a new unit, the manual calls for at least 16 hours of initial charging. That is an initial-charge instruction, not a promised recharge time after every cleanup. Use the supplied charger, with the switch at O (OFF); the manual says the vacuum will not charge in another switch position.

The practical catch is easy to miss: a neatly hung vacuum can still be unplugged. If you want charging to begin simply by docking the handle, this is not that arrangement.
What comes with this exact model
The HHVI315JO42 package lists the hand vacuum, wall mount, jack-plug charger, push-in crevice tool and push-in brush. The crevice tool narrows the opening for confined spaces; the brush is a separate attachment for surfaces such as furniture and stairs.
Do not confuse those push-in tools with the extendable crevice tool, flip-up brush or rotating nozzle shown for other models in the shared manual. Those are not the HHVI315JO setup.

Cordless at the nozzle—not an upright configuration
You carry the whole vacuum to the mess. Its listed kit does not include a floor-length wand, so floor-level pickup still means lowering the handheld nozzle to the floor. That matters more here than an unsupported claim about which vacuum has stronger suction.

This is for ordinary dry household debris. Do not use it on wet surfaces or to collect liquids. The bowl and filter can be washed as directed, but both must dry completely before reassembly. Never operate it without its filter.

For the wall-storage-and-charging setup described here, match HHVI315JO42 on the listing. The key tradeoff is specific: no cord trailing during handheld use, but a charger plug to reconnect afterward.
