The short answer

Joseph Joseph’s CupboardStore gray four-piece set is worth considering when loose pan lids crowd a shelf and you have suitable space inside a cabinet door. Each holder gives one lid a separate resting place without drilling.

The main compromise is adhesive mounting. The surface must be suitable, and the door must close with the lid in place. A holder fitting on an empty door does not prove the whole setup will work.

Check the door with your actual lids

Hold a lid near the intended position before attaching anything. Check its rim, dome and handle against shelves, pans and the cabinet frame. Leave enough room to lift it out without catching another lid.

Four holders do not necessarily mean four lids will fit on one door. Spread them across suitable doors or a deep drawer if that gives you easier access.

Match the lid size and mounting surface

This guide covers model 85149, the gray set of four. The size guidance differs: Amazon’s title says up to 9 inches, while Joseph Joseph specifies 16–24 cm (6.3–9.5 inches). Do not assume a borderline 9.5-inch lid will fit; confirm compatibility before ordering.

Amazon lists a maximum of 1.1 lb per holder. Check each lid’s weight. That listing limit is not a promise that the adhesive will hold on every cabinet finish.

Joseph Joseph excludes porous, unsealed and heavily textured surfaces. If you cannot identify your cabinet finish, check with its maker first. We have not established a damage-free removal guarantee.

Place first, stick second

Plan the position with the actual lid and confirm that the door or drawer can close. Keep the holder horizontal and lightly mark its position before peeling the tape.

  1. Clean the mounting surface and let it dry completely.
  2. Remove the tape backing and align the holder with your marks.
  3. Press firmly for 30 seconds.
  4. Wait 24 hours before using it.

The useful upgrade is easier access to lids that currently clutter a shelf. Choose this set after checking the finish, lid size and weight, and loaded-door clearance. Avoid treating adhesive door space as guaranteed storage capacity.
