The labels identify positions; you still need to enter the seed names and keep the record current. This format may suit someone who wants a tray layout to refer back to, but it does not replace those notes.

The cell count does not tell you how many seeds belong in each cell, whether your chosen plants should start indoors or which varieties can share growing conditions. Resolve those questions from your seeds’ directions before treating them as one batch.

What the flexible cells and drainage openings provide

The Amazon listing specifies flexible silicone cells and molded drainage openings. The underside photo shows where a cell can flex under hand pressure. That construction is worth examining if the way a cell releases its contents matters to your choice of tray.

Flexibility alone does not establish that a seedling’s roots will stay undamaged when it is moved. Likewise, drainage openings do not establish a germination rate or remove the need to manage water. We have not tested either outcome.

One kit includes a watering tray, not the pictured stack

A watering tray sits beneath the cells, and the kit has side handles. Keep the cell tray and its base distinct from the number of kits being sold: the storage photo shows several sets, while this selection is one kit with 36 cells.

Seeds, seed-starting mix, water and light are additional inputs. The package does not include the scoop, watering can or plants in these photos, or a grow light, heat mat or dome. Choose any separate equipment according to your seeds’ requirements, rather than assuming the kit supplies a complete growing setup.
